Who are The KaosPilots?
The KaosPilots is an innovative education program for young, creative and socially responsible entrepreneurs and change agents who want to make a difference in the world and shape the society of tomorrow.

The program is structured around three vocational areas: Creative Project Design, Creative Business Design and Creative Process Design. The pedagogy of the school focuses on practical work with real-world projects, and personal leadership and the development of skills and competencies that embrace the whole person. In the second year of a three-year program, Kaospilots move their classroom to a place outside Scandinavia to create an educational outpost. When choosing an outpost location, we ask ourselves: Where is the next major change in business, society and culture taking place?
Why Shanghai?
Social innovation is happening in Shanghai. We want to explore, investigate and understand the trends in a country that repressed capitalism until not too long ago, and in a city with a huge population and a fragmented culture rooted in Confucian values. We want to connect with the “born after ‘80’s” Generation who are rapidly moving forward. We will engage with groups of Chinese students through projects and dialogue to learn how these and other complex elements relate to one another in shaping their future.
